Farha Khatun

Her love for teaching and dream of becoming an IB educator directed Farha, our Homeroom teacher to join Aarth Universal School. Born and brought up in Bengal, Farha completed her Bachelor Degree in English Literature from Burdwan University. Being a passionate reader and a person who loves to be surrounded by children, she always wanted to be an efficient teacher and hence, later on, completed her B.Ed, taking a step towards her goal. She has been in the field of teaching for the past 7 years and believes that Aarth Universal School truly provides her the scope to grow, learn and be a better educator. She firmly believes that the education system must emphasize on building moral values, grow empathy and appreciate humanistic values along with developing the required skills. Other than reading, Farha enjoys music and movies. She also loves to explore places that offer cultural diversity – Farha Khatun

Chaitali Bhagat

Meet Ms. Chaitali Mahesh Kumar Bhagat, our Homeroom teacher. She has completed her Masters in Psychology from IGNOU, Delhi and her Masters in Education from VNSGU, Surat. She turned her passion for teaching into her career and began teaching since 2004. As she considers herself a learner, she prepared and presented 5 papers in National Seminar on Education and Psychology while pursuing her education. She is passionate, confident and a hard worker with a positive attitude. She is a quick learner who believes in life-long learning. She never misses out on any opportunity to learn. She is very happy to work with AUS as it gives an open learning environment to teachers and there is something new to learn each day. The school atmosphere gives her positive vibes and the culture of open-mindedness in school makes her love to come to school everyday. She feels at home in school as the school team is equally supportive and caring like a family. She sums up her philosophy of life in the following two lines, “Wake up with determination and go to sleep with satisfaction. Between that nothing is easy when you are lazy, but everything is easy when you are crazy.” – Chaitali Bhagat

Gulzar Makani

Meet Gulzar Makani our Homeroom teacher who had her schooling from Diamond Jubilee High School and graduation from Ambedkar University, Hyderabad. She completed PPTTC, teacher training course from Vivekananda College. After her training, she worked in the same school for 5 years as a preschool teacher. She worked with multiple schools in Hyderabad over the years. Her IB journey began with renowned school where she worked for 3 years. She had to take a break to attend to her family and now she feels excited to return to the IB world. She strongly believes that an IB school is the best place to teach and learn because IB education gives hands-on experience to the students and the learning engagements are planned based on real life situations. Everyday is a new learning for both teachers and students. The way the students question make the adults think and rethink. She feels Aarth Universal School is the right place for her as it’s a new IB school. According to her, it’s rewarding to be part of the founding team and start the journey right from roots. It is also an opportunity for her to share her understanding of IB education. Harsh Vaghela

Our Homeroom Teacher, Harsh is an engineer, born and brought up in Surat. He graduated with Bachelors of Engineering from GTU and Masters in Business Administration from VNSGU. He is on a mission to find his question, ‘What makes a good teacher?’ That’s the main reason that motivated him to take up the role as an educator and convinced him to leave his corporate job. Being a visual learner who loves to actively participate in learning, he enjoys inquiry based and play based teaching which led him to join a renowned IB school as a Gujarati Specialist. Since IB classrooms provide scope for students to think critically, give them freedom to drive their own learning and aim for creating global citizens, he is passionate about the teaching-learning in IB. He is excited to be part of the founding member team at Aarth Universal School and is looking forward to achieving excellence in his new role as a Homeroom Teacher. He has indulged himself in photography, drawing and is very much passionate about cricket and drama. He also runs an NGO, “Project Help Surat” and is responsible for its overall planning and coordination.

Ishani Modi

Ishani Modi, our Homeroom Teacher has 5 years of teaching experience which includes 3 years in IB. Interestingly, she has her Masters Degree in Journalism and she is a person filled with inquisitiveness. She was working as a keyword generator but destiny had other plans. Once she landed in the teaching profession, she realised she is made for this. She believes teaching is in her blood as she comes from a family of teachers. She completed her Diploma in Early Childhood care and Education. She has a Diploma in Introduction of family engagement in education from Harvard University and she is also a certified Apple Teacher. She has dived into the IB world with the help of these courses and plans to pursue more courses and certifications in future. Her love for kids helps her enjoy this teaching profession. She is immensely happy when she sees a bright smile on the faces of her learners. She strongly believes that she needs to be friends with her learners first and then play any other role. She has a keen interest in reading and loves to listen to music. She has recently shifted to the city of Surat and has welcomed new opportunities and challenges with open arms and a bright smile. She is looking forward to new learnings and further growth at Aarth Universal School.

Harshika Dedhia

Harshika Dedhia, Home Room Teacher at Aarth Universal School, strongly believes that each child is unique and special in their own way and she as a teacher, is passionately nurturing her young learners with the same virtue. She has completed her Graduation in Commerce and pursued DECE, which helped her hone her skills and make her passion into her profession. She believes that teaching is the most fun and challenging job in the world. Some days are hard, but there is nothing that she would trade for the excitement and joy that comes from helping kids explore both the real world and themselves as ‘Individuals’. With the same attitude she has been nourishing kiddos of kindergarten since 12 years. She loves dance, music and sports. She believes that a teacher should always cater patience and immense love when she is dealing with toddlers. To be true to her belief, ‘Happy teacher nurtures Happy minds’, she always tries to add humour to her class – Harshika Dedhia

Rushina Shah

Ms.Rushina, Homeroom teacher at Aarth Universal School believes that happy children are the ones who are capable of making their lives worthy. She as teacher is motivating her young learners to lead their life independently. She has completed her graduation in Commerce and undergone the Pre-primary and Primary Teacher Training Programme, which has helped her pursue her passion for teaching. She believes that teaching is creative and a fun filled journey. With this belief, she has been nourishing children of kindergarten since last 3 years. She loves reading, dancing, music and art. She believes that teacher should be a friend in the education journey of a child and should cater immense love and patience, especially when dealing with the younger ones – Rushina Shah

Reshma Lakhani

Reshma Lakhani, our Homeroom Teacher, has completed her BA in Hotel Administration and is currently pursuing MA in Psychology from IGNOU. She is very passionate about teaching. Her love for children and her passion for teaching made her take on the role of a teacher. She has an overall 6 years of experience. She strongly believes in hard work and learning as a lifelong process. For her, an education system should be such that it teaches the children how to think and not what to think. Her journey with IB teaching and learning started with Niraj International School, Hyderabad. She was so impressed with the IB philosophy that she made up her mind to continue teaching in IB schools then after. As a founder member at Aarth Universal School, she feels that she is getting ample opportunities to grow personally and professionally. She finds herself very happy at AUS as it is offering her a learning environment. She feels proud to be a part of such an organization with an amazing team.

Abhishek Sharma

Abhishek Sharma is a multidimensional individual with a versatile personality. After finishing his engineering, he worked as a Project Manager for a gas firm, but he soon realised that he belonged someplace else, and he wanted to build pillars of society rather than buildings and gas lines. So despite having few good opportunities as an engineer, he chose to be a teacher because he is very passionate about education. He has his own set of principles, which stands on honesty, dedication, temperament, and hard work. Abhishek has over 7 years of experience as a Middle School teacher across several boards. He has assisted four batches in passing their boards. A passionate learner, Abhishek continued his journey of learning and holds three bachelor’s degrees – Engineering (BE), Hindi (BA), and Education (BED), as well as three Master’s degrees in Psychology, Hindi and English. He is now pursuing a master’s degree in Mathematics. One of his unique talents is his ability to speak and understand many languages. Along with his passion for teaching, he pursues his passion for writing. An author and poet, Abhishek has several of his writings (novels and poems) published. He has also written scripts for a couple of OTT programmes as well as radio audio shows. He enjoyed his IB journey as MYP Hindi educator for two and half years. He is excited to learn about PYP and interact with the young learners. When Abhishek came to Aarth for the very first time, he felt like he truly belonged to this place as this organisation, though different in many ways, had very positive vibes. He is looking forward to his personal and professional growth as he is getting immersed in an innovative of learning which involves fun elements A very calm and realistic individual, Abhishek constantly sees the positive in every circumstance and can be a terrific source of encouragement.

Ms. Khyati Agarwal

Ms. Khyati Agarwal, the Primary Float teacher was raised in a community where everyone was a teacher. Inspired by her family members, she began her teaching journey when she was in High School. She also has been an instructor and has tutored many children in private tuitions. After her graduation in the Commerce field she joined the Fountainhead School, an IB board school and learnt some fantastic skills which helped her grow as an educator. Khyati believes that IB schools have a unique approach towards the development of a child. To further explore and challenge her skills she has joined Aarth Universal School. She thinks when children are given a space to learn, they not only develop in terms of intelligence but also experience an overall mental, physical and social growth. In her professional experience, she has developed critical thinking skills, self reflection ability and true dedication towards child’s character development. At Aarth, she is looking forward to learning a new set of skills and the unique philosophy of teaching, to not only help her students succeed but also for her own personal and professional development. She is a keen learner and strongly believes that action speaks louder than words. Along with her passion to be with kids, she also enjoys cooking, reading novels and educational articles and also writing stories. She is fond of nature and loves to visit hilly areas.
