Manee Kahar(B.A, BLISc, MLISc, B.Ed) is a professional teacher-librarian with 8-years of experience providing reference, support, and student services. She likes to work with children and likes to see them grow with love and compassion. Her strength lies in being a keen listener as she believes that being attentive to each child helps to build trust, strong relationships, promotes mindful thinking, kindles the curiosity of the children, and enables them to think on their own from various dimensions. In her opinion education is having a thirst for knowledge and takes the intellect to the next level. Chaitanya, our music guru, is a trained singer with expertise in Indian classical and semi-classical forms of music. Over the past five years, he has achieved many honours, one of which was at the state level Indian Classical competition organised by the Government of Gujarat in 2019, where he finished as runner-up. Chaitanya’s musical journey began from a music academy named Echoestics Music Commune. He idolises his guru and is inspired by the National Award winner Indian singer and music composer, Arijit Singh. He aspires to establish a music institute in the city and conduct professional musical performances. For him, the melody of music is like a flowing river that merges into an ocean of truth and peace where immersion in it gives the joy of the unbroken realization of heaven – Chaitanya Ahir.

Ms. Himanshi Gandhi, Homeroom Teacher at Aarth Universal School believes that if you want a child to grow then you have to let them flow. Young minds can open a box of surprises for us. She is passionate about working with young minds because she thinks by proper guidance young minds can bring positive change in future as they are future generations of our world. She thinks a teacher should not act as a teacher to a child but should try to build a friendly bridge of communication between herself and the children. The teacher needs to be calm, friendly, helpful and approachable in nature. Ms Himanshi has completed her B.Tech in Aeronautics from Aeronautical Society of India, New Delhi and also gone through various technical workshops while staying in Chennai. She has 7 years of experience teaching in various boards. She thinks her destiny was to be a teacher as she was involved in teaching from an early age by observing her mother who is also an educator herself. Being in touch with academic background, she got her way to pursue her passion and she took on the role of an IB educator. Being a risk taker and a quick learner are her key strengths which will help her in her journey in IB. Her hobbies include going on road trips as she is very fond of driving cars, reading, exploring ancient history and new places and most importantly being with nature. She was part of Gujarat volleyball team and has also played in the National volleyball tournament conducted by Govt. Of India in Haryana. She has a deep interest in Astrophysics and Archeology and also has an inclination towards spirituality and Art. She is open-minded and accepts every opportunity to gain knowledge from wherever she can. IB philosophy changed her mind about education as she started her journey at Aarth. She likes how the children are given freedom to inquire and the ownership the students take over their own learning. AUS provided her an opportunity and platform for learning and growing. She thinks AUS and herself will grow hand in hand. She is planning to pursue IB courses and certifications as part of her professional development at Aarth. She is proud of being a member of the AUS family.

Ms. Pooja Vaghela, our Gujarati and Hindi Specialist, has devoted herself to teaching since 2013. She has a vast experience of 9 years as an educator in State Board and with CBSE curriculum. She believes that the ability to speak more than one language is nothing less than rewarding, but one must truly dedicate his or herself to achieve a high proficiency in their mother tongue. She believes that destiny brought her into teaching and she has enjoyed every bit of it. She is always willing to learn new ways to cater to her students’ needs. She respects student perspectives and ideas and cares about their interests. Being curious, she explores more and does not take a step back till she is reasonably satisfied. She is a qualified teacher having M.A. and B.Ed. with Hindi and Social Science from SNDT University-Mumbai. She is an NCC Certificate holder. She is a rank holder in State level competition as stationery designer. She has attended many professional development courses throughout her teaching career. She is a very calm and optimistic person. She enjoys travelling. She is a keen learner. She is always ready to take on challenges in career growth. Her positive attitude towards life helps her grow and overcome the challenges that come her way. One such challenge is stepping into the IB world at Aarth. She likes the IB philosophy of education; how the children are given freedom to inquire and the ownership the students take over their own learning. She is exciting about her learning journey at Aarth and is looking forward to learn and grow from her peers and mentors.

Sanjay Rathore, our Physical Education Specialist, has been very passionate about sports and fitness since his school days. He has represented Surat and Gujarat at school and university level in Hockey and Football. He is a person with diverse interests and has knowledge of track and field, handball, volleyball, cricket and various other sports.To keep his passion alive he got certified as D-licensed coach from All India Football Federation and is pursuing DPEd to further develop his skills. He started his journey of teaching from 2019 as head coach of the United Soccer of India Football Club in Adajan, Surat. During his time at the club he was able to make kids capable of playing and get selected for their respective school teams. He started to get along with kids and loved being around them. So to promote Health and Sports other than football among kids, he began his journey in teaching in school with Aarth Universal School. As a teacher, he believes that every student has the ability to achieve greatness. He joined Aarth Universal School to explore IB. He feels connected to the IB philosophy wherein every student is given encouragement to learn with an open mind and push through challenging situations. His goal is to help every student succeed.

Nancy Singh, our PSPE Specialist is very passionate about fitness and sports. She has represented Indore and Madhya Pradesh at school and university levels in table tennis, handball and hockey. She did her B.P.ed and M.P.ed from DAVV University, Indore, Madhya Pradesh. She has also done workshops for athletics, yoga and anti-doping to further enhance her knowledge. She began her journey as a Physical Education teacher in A.W School at Raipur. She has also worked with an NGO that looks after the education for underprivileged children. During leisure time she loves to do dance, art and craft. She joined Aarth Universal School because she is looking forward to learning new things to add values to her professional and personal growth. IB offers numerous benefits, including holistic education, global perspectives and personal development. The combination of physical, social, and personal education within the IB framework provides a unique opportunity to grow academically, emotionally, and physically. She is excited for her journey as an IB educator at Aarth.

Ms. Suman Mondal is the PYP and MYP Hindi and Spanish Facilitator at Aarth. She belongs to West Bengal and has completed her graduation from West Bengal University, B.ED from MIT Pune and Diploma in Spanish from Delhi Instituto Hispania. She began her career in MNC sectors where she worked for 9 years. In 2017 she finally moved into teaching to follow her passion. She worked in MIT Pune as IBDP and MYP Spanish Teacher. In her journey of 5 years as an IB educator, she got the opportunity to work with different age groups and she trained herself through different professional development programmes. She is empathetic, and understanding. She recognizes that each student has their own unique learning style, pace, and challenges. She takes the time to listen, support, and provide personalized guidance, ensuring that every student feels valued and encouraged on their language learning journey. She believes that a good language teacher understands that language learning is not just about memorizing vocabulary and grammar rules. It’s about creating a dynamic and immersive environment that ignites curiosity and fosters a love for the language. It also gives exposure to students about diverse cultures thus broadening their thinking and helping them understand and value multiple perspectives. She strives to make her lessons engaging, interactive, and relevant to her students’ lives, thereby making language learning a practical and enjoyable experience. At Aarth, Ms. Suman is looking forward to sharpening her skills and putting her experience and knowledge into practice to inspire and empower students. She is excited to learn about the culture of Surat and be able to add value to the language learning journey of the students.

Pooja Mehta, our Homeroom Teacher has moved from a desk job to teaching. She was raised in Dubai, UAE and after completing her Masters in Commerce, she took up the job of a Secretary to the Principal in Indian High School, Dubai. Working in the educational surrounding and on being motivated by academic people, she took up a volunteering teaching opportunity. This was a life-changing moment for her. She enjoyed this experience and put her mind into teaching. To help her pursue her passion for teaching, she completed her Diploma in Early Childhood Care and Education. She also took up tutoring opportunities. She is an enthusiastic, open minded person and likes to explore & learn new things. She is proactive and organized. She enjoys extra-curricular activities like dance and art. She believes education plays a vital role in an individual’s life. According to her, creativity and teamwork can be developed right from the early years. This will help the students throughout their educational journey and contribute towards their overall development – Pooja Mehta

Ms. Manjeet, our homeroom teacher has a vast experience of 8 years. She initiated working with young minds at a very early age of 17 years. After tutoring for four years, she joined the IB organisation and worked for 4 and half years. She is interested in many things, including travelling, writing, listening to music, and reading. She has a passion for innovative teaching methods and loves to explore the same. She always wanted to have a job with a meaningful purpose, and teaching in an IB organisation allowed her to do so. She has a Graduation and a Masters degree in Commerce. She has also done TKT from Cambridge University. She considers herself a lifelong learner and thinks that the best way to learn is to teach. She has attended the SAIBSA training and has facilitated Job-alike sessions and Life classes. She has also attended various IB and Maths workshops. She has also been part of teacher mentoring. She is immensely dedicated to her work and loves to be around kids. She is a positive person who has an enthusiastic outlook on life. She loves to teach and gets a great sense of achievement from seeing her students develop and grow as individuals. She thinks AUS is the best platform where she can develop her skills. She hates to be in her comfort zone and tries to challenge herself with new roles and responsibilities. She believes in overcoming her fears and strives for newer understanding and better learning.

With a genuine passion for learning, Honey Jalan, our Homeroom Teacher, has been positively associated with IB for five successful years. She has completed her Bachelors and Masters degree in Business Administration, following which she has pursued B.Ed as well. During her experience as an IB educator, she has attended many intensive IB workshops. She is a passionate educator who is in love with teaching. She is deeply involved with the issues that change the world and believes in the potentials of young children who come to class everyday. She respects student perspectives and ideas and care about their interests. She fondly believes that one must possess a growth mindset to be able to rise naturally. Being curious, she explores more and does not take a step back till she is reasonably satisfied. Her positive attitude towards life helps her grow and overcome the challenges that come her way. She believes in polishing her skills which would help her gain excellence. She thinks practical knowledge often leads to a deeper understanding of concepts which can further be implemented in real life situations. IB gives an opportunity to unlearn and relearn which motivates her to explore and to be a lifelong learner. Lifelong learning remains a modern term that inspires her and also motivated her to become a founder member at Aarth Universal School. She thinks that AUS is the perfect place for her. Being a new IB school in town, it provides her several openings to learn and grow. It is also an opportunity for her to share her experience and understanding of IB with her peers. Everyday is a new learning and ‘Growing with the School’ is something that rejuvenates her and gets her to school everyday – Honey jalan
