SEN Department
At Aarth Universal School, we take great pride in being an inclusive and diverse learning community, committed to helping every child reach their fullest potential. Central to this commitment is our SEN space, Kaizen, which means “continuous improvement” in Japanese. This philosophy of making small, consistent changes to achieve long-term success shapes our approach to Special Education Needs (SEN), focusing on several key areas:
Holistic Support and Guidance
Our Special Educators and Counsellors work closely with parents, offering monthly emails with tips and strategies on addressing social and emotional challenges. This initiative equips parents with the tools needed to support their child’s growth and development at home.
Identifying and Supporting Unique Needs
The SEN team collaborates with teachers to identify any specific needs a child may have, offering parents guidance in accessing the appropriate resources and support to meet those needs with care and sensitivity.
Differentiated Instruction in the Classroom
We use a differentiation strategy, customising tasks and activities to match each student’s abilities. This ensures that every child can fully engage with the curriculum at their own pace.
Flexible Counselling Support
Our counselling team provides personalised support through both push-in and pull-out sessions, addressing specific challenges and helping students build essential academic and social skills.
At Aarth Universal School, we are passionate about creating an environment where each student’s individuality is celebrated. Our SEN team, along with a holistic approach that involves collaboration between students, parents, and educators, ensures every child has the opportunity to thrive in a nurturing and inclusive community.
