She likes to work with children and likes to see them grow with love and compassion. Her strength lies in being a keen listener as she believes that being attentive to each child helps to build trust, strong relationships, promotes mindful thinking, kindles the curiosity of the children, and enables them to think on their own from various dimensions. In her opinion education is having a thirst for knowledge and takes the intellect to the next level. Reconnecting with Our Roots: celebrating timeless childhood games during Early Years Community Time

In a world increasingly dominated by technology, it's essential to pause and reconnect with the simple joys of childhood. At EY Community Time, we celebrated the timeless charm of classic outdoor games that have been passed down through generations. These traditional games brought together children and teachers in a joyful gathering, where we all shared the same excitement and nostalgia.

One of the highlights was Gutte, a game where kids threw and caught stones in intricate patterns. It challenged their concentration and enhanced fine motor skills. Kho-Kho, a fast-paced game involving running, tagging and teamwork, sparked healthy competition and encouraged collaboration. Gilli Danda, a game of precision and timing, tested players' ability to strike the wooden stick (gilli) with a larger stick (danda) in just the right way. Kancha was another game where children aimed to knock marbles out of a circle, requiring patience, skill, and a steady hand. Maach, the classic board game, allowed children to bond over friendly competition.

EY Community Time reminded us of the power of play. These games, with their deep cultural roots, fostered connections, sparked joy, and offered an opportunity to preserve and celebrate traditions. As we continue to embrace the advancements of technology, it’s crucial to ensure that the spirit of these beloved games lives on, inspiring and uniting future generations. Understanding Assessments Beyond the Basics

At Aarth, we believe in fostering strong partnerships with parents, and our recent workshop on Assessments was a testament to this belief. It was a day filled with learning, collaboration, and meaningful experiences, bringing parents closer to the core of what assessments truly mean in a child’s educational journey.

From diving into the root purpose of assessments to unraveling how they take shape across language, mathematics and other disciplines, the workshop offered insights into our dynamic and inquiry-driven approach.
One of the most exciting moments? Parents witnessed a live assessment in action as students hosted a vibrant business fair, integrating their learning from the unit on trade. The fair showcased creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking—traits we nurture in every learner.
Parents also stepped into their children’s shoes, becoming “students” themselves! In an interactive classroom session, they experienced firsthand how assessments are designed to be engaging, reflective and growth-oriented.

The feedback from parents truly warmed our hearts. Comments like, “I never realized assessments could be so holistic. Watching the business fair made me appreciate how much students learn beyond textbooks!”, “Participating in the classroom activity was eye-opening. It gave me a sense of how deeply connected learning and assessments are here.”, and “I now feel more equipped to support my child’s learning journey at home” were just some of the many meaningful reflections shared by parents.
Workshops like these reinforce our commitment to ensuring every stakeholder—educators, parents and students—is aligned on the journey of lifelong learning.

Young Entrepreneurs of Grade 5 Took the centre stage!

Our Grade 5 students transformed into savvy business owners, dazzling us with their innovative products and persuasive pitches during the summative assessment of the unit on ‘trade’. This innovative summative assessment of Business Fair, seamlessly blending elements from Media and Trade units, offered a unique platform for students to showcase their learning in a real-world context.

By creating and selling their own products or services, our young entrepreneurs applied their knowledge of persuasive techniques, digital tools and business principles. They learnt to set prices, manage inventory and engage with customers, all while honing their communication and problem-solving skills.

From crafting enticing advertisements to designing eye-catching displays, our students demonstrated their mastery of media techniques. They used persuasive language to entice customers and their digital creations were both innovative and visually appealing. By participating in this hands-on experience, our students gained invaluable insights into the world of business. Not just that, they also developed essential skills such as teamwork, creativity and resilience.

As the Business Fair was a resounding success, at Aarth we will continue to create many more such opportunities to nurture creativity, innovation and entrepreneurial spirit among our students.

In our latest SOLE (Self-Organised Learning Environment) session, we dived deep into our unit on Discoveries and Inventions under the theme How the World Works. 🌍 The big question for the day: How have inventions changed the way people live?

Divided into four collaborative groups, we explored this question through self-directed research. 📚💻 Each group worked together to investigate different inventions, their impact on society, and how they've transformed the way we live today. After our research, we presented our findings to the class, showcasing our creativity and critical thinking. 🎤📊

What did we learn? 💡 We discovered how inventions have revolutionised every aspect of life; from communication and transportation to health and education. As learners, we sharpened our research skills, learnt how to work effectively in teams, and developed our presentation abilities. More importantly, we realised how discoveries shape the world, fueling our own curiosity to explore, innovate, and create! 🚀🌟
This session not only deepened our understanding of inventions but also strengthened our collaboration and problem-solving skills. 💫👩‍🔬👨‍💻

Our MYP students had an enlightening journey to Velocity Hospital, exploring the fascinating world of wave technology and their application in real life.

We began our adventure by understanding the fundamentals of waves around us and the particles responsible for their generation, including how these advancements are transforming healthcare. MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) technology, utilising magnetic fields, provides detailed images of the body, facilitating the early detection and treatment of various conditions.

Next, we ventured into the realm of Ultrasound, observing firsthand how sound waves create images, offering invaluable insights into diagnostics. We examined the workings of the X-ray scan machine and learnt how this technology is further enhanced in CT (Computed Tomography) scans.

Grade 6-7 emphasised how magnets and magnetic fields are utilised in real-life equipment, as well as the particles responsible for generating these waves. Meanwhile, Grade 8 focused on exploring the various types of waves in different technologies and their distinct purposes and applications.

This journey enriched our understanding of wave and particle technology in medical applications, inspiring us to recognise the essential role of science in advancing diagnostics and treatment.

A Colourful Start to a New Unit!

After the vibrant festive break, our Jr. and Sr. KG Aarthians enthusiastically tuned into their new unit, "Culture Reflects Traditions and Values.”

To ignite interest and curiosity, our teachers embraced cultural attire representing various traditions such as Punjabi, Bengali, Kashmiri, Bhojpuri and many more cultures. They performed traditional dances and greeted students with phrases like Sat Sri Akal, Nomoskar, तोहरा सोझा प्रणाम and Namaskar Mahrah. The students eagerly joined in, repeating the greetings and learning new words along the way.

The excitement continued with the launch of the Read Aloud, "We Are Grateful: Otsaliheliga" by Traci Sorell, illustrated by Frane Lessac. Teachers, dressed as members of the Cherokee Nation, introduced students to the word Otsaliheliga (oh-jah-LEE-hay-lee-gah), which means gratitude. They shared insights into how the Cherokee community expresses their appreciation to nature, fostering a deep sense of connection and respect among our young learners.

At Aarth, we’re shining a spotlight on the incredible men who bring strength, heart and dedication to our school community. From our passionate teachers to our hardworking support staff and admin team, we’re celebrating the unique contributions they make and the positive impact they have every single day.

The day kicked off with a delightful surprise during a regular meeting—an unexpected wish that instantly set the tone for the day ahead. Our male staff were greeted with great warmth by the female teachers, who showered them with flowers as they entered the venue. The atmosphere was electric and excitement buzzed in the air. The men were deeply moved by the thoughtful gesture, feeling both celebrated and appreciated right from the moment they walked in.

Next, we unveiled the “Gratitude Wall”, where the men were overwhelmed and humbled by the heartfelt tributes. It was an emotional reminder of the respect and admiration they’ve earned. The celebration continued with an interactive game “I Wish the World Knew...,” where each man shared something personal—an experience or thought they wished others understood about them. This experience help us break the walls of gender stereotype fostering a deep sense of understanding and camaraderie amongst one and all.

The surprises continued with thoughtful gifts, followed by a joyful cake cutting and some delicious refreshments to wrap up the celebration. The room was filled with laughter, cherishes moments and a sense of togetherness that made the day even more special.

To conclude, a beautiful poetry recitation tied everything together, leaving everyone feeling truly appreciated and connected.

Today was all about celebrating the wonderful men who are the heart of Aarth. Your hard work, care and dedication shape our school in so many meaningful ways. From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you for everything you do. You are the pillars of our community and we celebrate YOU, not just today, but every single day.

✨ We recently hosted an inspiring Indian Youth Leadership Summit, celebrating learning and leadership through a Quiz Competition, Speech, and Essay Writing on topics reflecting our nation's rich heritage and the contemporary world.

🏆 The competition was fierce, and the houses – Laxmibai, Sarojini, Savitribai, and Lady Cama – showcased their skills, creativity, and teamwork. Laxmibai house shone in the quiz, demonstrating their knowledge and team spirit to secure victory, while Lady Cama followed closely in second place. In the Speech Competition, the tables turned, with Lady Cama mesmerizing the audience with their powerful words, winning first place, and Laxmibai house taking the second spot. Finally, in the Essay Writing competition, Lady Cama again dominated by winning two out of three competitions with Savitribai House as the first runner up. The power of their words, combined with creativity and a deep understanding of promoting Indian culture on a global level, earned them the championship.

📚 This event deepened our understanding of Indian history, freedom struggle, and the governmental structure, while enhancing our communication skills, team spirit, and critical thinking.These experiences are not only shaping us into informed citizens but also preparing us to become global leaders of tomorrow. By learning about our country's rich heritage and how it influences the world stage, we are equipped with the knowledge and skills to advocate for change and lead with confidence in a global context. We’re excited to share the success of our recent workshop aimed at empowering students with essential knowledge about body safety, self-respect and body positivity. Led by expert speaker Ms. Neelu Grover, this session was designed to foster a deeper understanding of personal boundaries, body autonomy, and healthy lifestyle choices.

As part of our Happiness Curriculum for Joyful Living, the workshop covered a wide range of topics that are crucial for building self-awareness and confidence. The workshop was divided into two separate sessions, one for students in Grades 1-4, and another for Grades 5-8. Each session was tailored to address age-appropriate topics, fostering a deeper understanding of personal boundaries, body autonomy and healthy lifestyle choices. For our younger learners, the focus was on recognizing different kinds of touches, respecting personal space and understanding the importance of consent.

For the Grade 5-8 learners the emphasis was on body diversity, encouraging students to challenge harmful beauty standards and embrace body positivity, fostering self-love and acceptance. Discussions also touched on mental and physical health, focusing on the importance of balanced habits, physical activity and mental well-being. In addition, we addressed the changes that come with growing up, particularly during adolescence. The students learnt about personal hygiene and navigating the emotional challenges of growing up. A highlight of the session was where students could openly ask questions, clear misconceptions and receive accurate information about their changing bodies, relationships and emotions.

This workshop is a step towards building a generation of informed, confident and respectful individuals. By equipping students with the knowledge of body safety, consent and self-respect, we’re helping them to grow into young people who can make informed decisions and foster positive relationships. Together, we’re creating a nurturing and empowering environment for our students to grow, learn and thrive!

After our Diwali break, we made sure to welcome our children with puddles of energy and warmth on the occasion of Children’s Day! Two lovely mascots, Doremon and Chhota Bheem added an extra spark of joy to the day.

Starting with lively dance performances by our teachers to mesmerising magic tricks, our students were captivated throughout!

Next, we moved on to our activity stations, where Early Years (EY) and Primary-Middle Years (PY-MY) enjoyed an incredible array of activities designed to create joy, promote teamwork, and help develop motor and social skills:
🎨 Stations for All: Clay Party, Karaoke 🎤, Face Painting 🎨, Khakhra Pizza 🍕, Bucket Ball 🏀, Blindfold Challenge, Human Snake & Ladder 🐍, Ball Splash 💦 and the ever-popular Jumping Slides! 🏰
Each activity encouraged creativity, fostered friendships and brought out the spirit of cooperation and play.
After a delicious lunch together 😋, the fun continued with buddy time on the Jumping Slides for PY-MY students, and to close the celebration, our talented teachers surprised everyone with a musical performance, singing beautiful melodies that expressed our love and appreciation for the children. 🎶❤️
It was a day filled with laughter, warmth, and beautiful moments that reminded us of the joy of childhood and the importance of nurturing young hearts. 🌈✨

Building on the excitement, our classrooms transformed into a feast of flavours during a delightful Fusion Potluck. Students shared their favourite dishes with friends, creating tasty memories that reflected the rich traditions of both festivals. 🍽️✨
The thrill carried on as our young Aarthians ventured through various activity stations, each offering a unique Diwali and Halloween experience:
Diya Decoration: Like little artists, students painted colourful diyas, adding sparkle to the celebration of lights. 🕯️

Mask Cut-out Colouring: Students showed their creativity by decorating masks that highlighted their artistic skills. 🎨

The celebration concluded with a heartwarming storytelling session, where students enjoyed tales that captured the essence of Diwaleen—light, love, unity and a hint of spooky fun! 📖✨
